Rumors started circulating earlier this week about a new widescreen iBook that might be announced soon. Today brings more rumors… including talk of the price point on the new iBook possibly being as low as $999. Hopefully it will still be possible to do this cool mod on the new model.
When you announce an architecture change but put it a year into the future, you run the risk of not selling any hardware for a long time. But making the high-quality iBook even better, and simultaneously more affordable, is a good way to keep the customer buying.
