<p> Rumors started circulating <a href="http://www.engadget.com/entry/1234000233051040/" title="New widescreen iBook revision coming any day now?, at Engadget">earlier this week</a> about a new widescreen iBook that might be announced soon. Today brings <a href="http://www.engadget.com/entry/1234000717051502/" title="Revised iBooks and Mac minis on the way, at Engadget">more rumors</a>&#8230; including talk of the price point on the new iBook possibly being as low as $999. Hopefully it will still be possible to do this <a href="http://www.macmine.com/more.php?id=123_0_4_0_C" title="Modding your iBook's Apple Logo, at MacMine">cool mod</a> on the new model.</p>
<p>When you announce an architecture change but put it a year into the future, you run the risk of not selling any hardware for a long time. But making the high-quality iBook even better, and simultaneously more affordable, is a good way to keep the customer buying.</p>
